Welcome to the Welton NEWS
The award winning Welton NEWS is published by the Welton NEWS Committee and is delivered free of charge each month to every household in the village. This is a non-profit making organisation whose aim is to provide a publication that is both useful and entertaining to villagers.
This site provides: recent editions of the Welton NEWS, the Village Notice Board for future events in the Village, contact numbers for the various activities in the Village, how to advertise in the NEWS and a section for newcomers to the Village.
If you are planning an event, then the first step is to review the Village Notice Board and find out if there is a potential clash of dates with another event. Once you’ve determined on a date, contact the editor to ensure your event is posted on the Notice Board.
Organisations are prone to change personnel and contact details from time to time so we rely on the organisations in the village to advise changes to keep the Village Activities detail up-to-date.
Please support our advertisers as they provide the income to keep our village magazine going. To ensure correct contact details, always use the most current issue of the NEWS when seeking to contact advertisers.
If you are new to the village you may want to know what services are available. The section ‘Welcome to Welton’ may provide some answers as will our advertisements in the magazine. The Parish Office at 7 Lincoln Road (between the Paper Shop and the Black Bull) is another useful source of information.
Residents are invited to help with the magazine by either joining the committee, volunteering to help distribute the magazine within the village (one to two hours a month) or by providing articles or letters for publication.
